WHY SEX THERAPY
I have chosen to specialize in the field of sex therapy because I consider sexuality an integral part of one's overall health and I strongly believe that a fulfilling sex life is crucial for happy relationships and individual well-being.
At times, though, medical or mental health problems, relationship concerns or situational challenges can negatively affect a person's sexual functioning. Likewise, sexual difficulties can impair other areas of an individual's or couple's life.
Most of the sexual problems and concerns can be successfully addressed in sex therapy. As a sex therapist, I encourage my clients to explore intimate areas of their lives and I teach them new skills necessary to restore their sexual functioning and health as well as build fulfilling intimate relationships.

MY MISSION AND MY APPROACH
My mission is to provide unbiased education about sex, sexuality and sexual health, remove the negative stigma and promote sex positive attitudes, support discovery and enhancement of sexual fulfillment, capacity for pleasure, as well as physical and emotional connection rooted in sexual health.
It is important for me to provide accurate information regarding sexual health, guidance, effective techniques and psychosexual skills to improve sexual functioning as well as encouragement to increase sexual confidence and self-esteem. When indicated, I will suggest and discuss thoroughly a referral to a specialist such as a urologist, gynecologist, pelvic floor physical therapist as an adjunct treatment intervention.
Sex therapy is not only a very specialized but also greatly sensitive treatment type which requires respect and appreciation for diverse human sexual experiences and values. Therefore, in my client-centered and collaborative approach as a sex therapist, I employ tact, empathy, flexibility, and attunement to my clients’ unique needs and personalities.
